Elwood Lodge No. 919 A.F. & A.M.           350 N. Midland Ave., Joliet, Illinois 60435
Chartered October 12, 1910                                                         Stated Meeting: 1st Thursday
The Lodge
The "lodge" is a word used in Freemasonry to describe (1) the building where masons meet as well as (2) the chartered group of masons
themselves. Sometimes, we are also calling the lodge building the "Temple" (such as in "Joliet Masonic Temple") -- in reference to King
Solomon's Temple.
Thanks to an ancient landmark, known as the "right of visitation," any regular lodge may, thus, serve as a temporary or permanent "home of
fellowship" for any regular mason.

The Archives).

As a fellow Mason of another lodge on foreign travels (whether near or far), we
hope you will feel like at home during your virtual visit.
Of course, you are most welcome to take a look at our
Trestle Board to inform yourself
about upcoming meetings and work at our lodge. We would love to welcome you in

If you are a non-Mason but interested in learning more about Freemasonry, you
may want to take a look at the
"Masonic Education" links in the Library. The
information there may be able to answer some of your questions.
Feel free to contact us through the
Tiler if you wish to speak to one of us in person
regarding the craft and/or becoming a mason through our lodge.
Fraternally Yours,
